Smart Runners is a sports technology company that transforms youth football matches into digital assets, monetizable content, and player development tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our ecosystem — including Tunnel, Match Center, Bridge, Tagger, and our integrated league management platform, SportStack.

1. Who We Are

Smart Runners operates a multi-sided digital infrastructure for youth football. Our platforms connect players, parents, clubs, leagues, and service providers through match data, video content, player profiles, and marketplace services. When we refer to “Smart Runners,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean Smart Runners and its affiliated products and services.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with our ecosystem, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account & identity information — name, email address, phone number, login credentials, role (player, parent, coach, club administrator, service provider), and organisation affiliations.
  • Player & profile data — player names, team assignments, match history, performance statistics, highlights, and other football identity data stored in Tunnel profiles.
  • Match & video content — full match recordings, player-specific moments, highlights, tagged events (goals, assists, saves, and similar actions), and related metadata created through Match Center and Tagger.
  • Operational & league data — fixtures, registrations, scheduling, team management, and competition data processed through SportStack or partner league systems integrated with our ecosystem.
  • Transaction & payment information — purchase history for match content, player moments, and marketplace services; billing details processed through our payment partners (we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers).
  • Service provider information — professional profiles, service listings, equipment details, delivery records, and communications related to Bridge marketplace activity.
  • Technical & usage data — device type, browser, IP address, log files, cookies, session activity, and analytics about how you navigate and use our platforms.
  • Communications — messages you send through contact forms, support requests, demo inquiries, and other correspondence with our team.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to operate, improve, and grow the Smart Runners ecosystem, including to:

  • Create and maintain player digital profiles and football identity layers in Tunnel.
  • Record, process, tag, store, and distribute match video and moment-based content through Match Center.
  • Enable purchases of full matches, player highlights, team content, and related digital products.
  • Connect service providers with clubs, leagues, and match opportunities through Bridge.
  • Manage league operations, registrations, scheduling, and team coordination via SportStack integrations.
  • Process payments, fulfil orders, and manage platform fees and marketplace transactions.
  • Support talent identification, scouting visibility, and player development use cases.
  • Communicate with you about your account, purchases, services, and platform updates.
  • Analyse usage patterns to improve product performance, conversion, coverage, and user experience.

4. How Information Flows Across the Ecosystem

Smart Runners is designed as a vertically integrated platform. This means data may move between products to deliver the full experience:

  • Matches organised in SportStack can flow into Match Center as digital assets available for purchase and distribution.
  • Player registrations and team data can populate Tunnel profiles automatically.
  • Tagged moments and match content enrich player profiles over time, creating a living football résumé.
  • Bridge connects service providers to the matches, clubs, and content workflows that require their skills.

We only use this integrated data flow to deliver services you or your organisation have opted into, and to improve the connected experience across the ecosystem.

5. Who We Share Information With

We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Within your organisation — with clubs, academies, leagues, coaches, and administrators authorised to access team and player data.
  • With other ecosystem users — such as player profiles, match content, or marketplace listings made visible according to your settings, league rules, or product design.
  • With service providers — camera operators, editors, analysts, and other Bridge professionals fulfilling content or analysis services tied to matches.
  • With league & competition partners — organisations such as YFL Dubai, VMSL, Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup, and other collaborators where Smart Runners infrastructure is deployed.
  • With technology & payment vendors — cloud hosting, video delivery, analytics, customer support, and payment processing partners that help us operate the platform.
  • For legal reasons — when required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Smart Runners, our users, and the public.

We do not sell personal information to third-party advertisers.

6. Youth Data & Parental Responsibility

Smart Runners primarily serves youth football environments. Much of our user base includes minors whose accounts and purchases are managed by parents, guardians, clubs, or league administrators. Where applicable, we rely on authorised adults to provide consent and manage access on behalf of young players. If you believe we have collected information about a minor without appropriate authorisation, please contact us so we can review and address the request.

7. Video, Media & Public Visibility

Match recordings and player moments may appear in player profiles, club pages, league listings, scouting contexts, or purchasable content libraries. Visibility depends on league configuration, club permissions, product settings, and what content has been purchased or shared. By participating in recorded matches within the Smart Runners ecosystem, players and their authorised representatives acknowledge that match footage and derived moments may be processed and distributed as part of the platform’s core services.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain player profiles and match histories, support legitimate business operations, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Match content and performance data may be retained over multiple seasons to support long-term player development, historical records, and ecosystem value.

We implement technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system is completely secure, and we encourage users to protect account credentials and report suspicious activity promptly.

10. International Processing

Smart Runners operates across multiple regions and works with leagues and users internationally. Your information may be processed in the United Arab Emirates, France, Canada, and other countries where we or our service providers maintain infrastructure.

11. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information.
