Terms of Service
Last updated: June 22, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Smart Runners products and services, including Tunnel, Match Center, Bridge, Tagger, SportStack integrations, and related websites, applications, and marketplace features. By creating an account, making a purchase, offering services, or otherwise using our platforms, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Smart Runners
Smart Runners is a sports technology company building digital infrastructure for youth football. We connect players, parents, clubs, leagues, and service providers through an integrated ecosystem that digitises matches, builds player profiles, monetises content, and enables marketplace services. Our long-term vision is to create a global layer where every match is recorded, every player has a dynamic profile, and content and services are seamlessly monetised.
2. The Ecosystem
Our platform consists of multiple connected products:
- Tunnel — player identity layer, digital résumé, match history, stats, and video content hub.
- Match Center — marketplace for full match recordings, player moments, highlights, and team-based video content.
- Bridge — service marketplace connecting camera operators, editors, analysts, and other providers with match and club demand.
- Tagger — community-powered moment creation and tagging on real match footage.
- SportStack — league and club management for registrations, scheduling, teams, and operations, integrated with Smart Runners content and monetisation layers.
Some features may only be available through partner leagues, clubs, or specific deployments. Access may vary by region, competition, and account type.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account details up to date. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for accounts and purchases made on behalf of minors. Club, league, and service provider accounts must be managed by authorised representatives. You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for all activity under your account.
4. User Roles
The ecosystem serves multiple participant types, each with different rights and obligations:
- Players — build profiles, access match content, and use platform features made available through their club or league.
- Parents & guardians — primary buyers and decision-makers for many youth football purchases, including match video and player moments.
- Clubs & academies — partners and distribution channels that may offer content, manage teams, and participate in revenue opportunities.
- Leagues & organisers — deploy Smart Runners infrastructure across competitions and fixtures.
- Service providers — fulfil recording, editing, analysis, and related services through Bridge.
5. Purchases & Payments
Match Center and related products may offer paid digital content, including full matches, highlight packages, individual moments, and team content. Prices, availability, and packaging may vary by match, league, player, and region. By completing a purchase, you authorise us and our payment partners to charge the applicable fees.
All sales are subject to the product description shown at checkout unless otherwise stated in a separate agreement with your league or club. Smart Runners may charge platform fees or retain a margin on marketplace transactions. Refund eligibility depends on the content type, delivery status, and applicable league or club policies.
6. Marketplace & Service Providers
Bridge enables independent service providers to offer match recording, video editing, performance analysis, equipment rental, and related services. Smart Runners facilitates discovery, booking, and payment workflows but does not guarantee the quality, timing, or outcome of third-party services unless expressly stated. Service providers are responsible for delivering services professionally, complying with local laws, and maintaining any licences or permissions required for their work.
7. Content Rights & Licence
Match footage, tagged moments, player profiles, analytics, and platform materials are protected by intellectual property laws. Smart Runners and its partners retain ownership of platform software, branding, structured data models, and original system-generated content.
When you purchase content, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use that content for personal, team, scouting, or other permitted purposes as described at the point of purchase. You may not resell, publicly redistribute, scrape, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit platform content or data except as explicitly allowed.
By participating in recorded matches and using our tagging or profile features, you grant Smart Runners a worldwide licence to record, process, tag, store, display, distribute, and monetise match-related content as necessary to operate the ecosystem, subject to league rules and applicable law.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platforms for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
- Upload false information, impersonate others, or misrepresent affiliations.
- Interfere with platform security, performance, or other users’ access.
- Copy, harvest, or resell data, videos, or listings without permission.
- Use content in ways that violate player privacy, league rules, or third-party rights.
- Circumvent payment, access controls, or marketplace policies.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or create risk for users, partners, or the platform.
9. League & Club Partnerships
Smart Runners deploys its ecosystem with leagues and organisations such as YFL Dubai, Vancouver Metro Soccer League (VMSL), and Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup. Additional terms may apply through agreements between Smart Runners and those organisations. Where a conflict exists between these Terms and a signed partner agreement governing your league or club, the partner agreement may prevail for participants covered by that deployment.
10. SportStack Integration
Where SportStack is used for league operations, fixtures and registrations created in SportStack may automatically flow into Match Center and Tunnel. Users of integrated deployments acknowledge that operational data and match activity may generate content, profiles, and commercial opportunities across the combined ecosystem.
11. Disclaimers
Smart Runners provides technology, content infrastructure, and marketplace tools on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, scouting outcomes, player progression, commercial results, or the accuracy of all tagged events and analytics. Match recording coverage depends on schedules, equipment, operators, and venue conditions outside our full control.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smart Runners and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, or business interruption arising from use of the platforms. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services will not exceed the amount you paid to Smart Runners for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim during the twelve (12) months before the event, unless a higher amount is required by applicable law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Smart Runners from claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of the platforms, violation of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, or failure to obtain required permissions related to content you upload, distribute, or request.
14. Termination
You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create legal or security risk, or if we discontinue a product or deployment. Provisions that by nature should survive termination — including payment obligations, content licences, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will continue to apply.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as our products, business model, and legal requirements evolve. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE, unless mandatory local consumer protections require otherwise.
